Our Story

Dedication to organic farming began over a decade ago when Justin’s health necessitated changes. His personal Journey with severe chemical sensitivity makes him committed to producing 100% organic, natural, chemical-free meat available for others to enjoy.

Justin is a fourth generation Mallee Farmer and Rita is from organic farming background in central Queensland. Together, they have developed a specialised farming system to suit the delicate Mallee environment, thus ensuring a balance of production and maintaining ecology.

We love what we do. It’s a love that makes us do crazy things, like get out of bed at 4am to check our new batch of chickens, work long hours in every season to produce slow-grown, ethically raised meat, grains and legumes, and refuse to use anything artificial to make the job easier.  There’s a certain passion and conviction that motivates the life of an organic farmer.

Our Values

There is an old adage; we are what we eat which resonates with us at Kinmana Organics. This is why we choose to be 100% organic, from the very beginning. There shouldn’t be a need for pesticides, chemicals or petroleum bi-products in our foods. Certified organic is the right way to farm, the right way to care for animals, the right way to eat. Everything is temporary, but part of the whole. Working with nature is the way God Himself intended for us to live.

Certified Organic

Kinmana Farm has been certified organic since 2005, and is also PROOF certified. The family have a strong focus on Organic and Sustainable food production, and teaching the next generation about holistic approaches to natural health and farm regeneration.

Our Beliefs

Kinmana Organics is based on the belief that their customers needs are of the utmost importance. As a result, a high percentage of their business is from repeat customers and referrals. Justin and Rita would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best value in the industry.

Community

Being a good neighbour means a lot to us. In our own backyard, we strive to make a positive impact wherever we go, and our own backyard is a great place to start doing good! Giving back to our local community means we can support friendships, employment and partnerships for many years to come.

Passionately GMO Free

We’ve all heard “GMOs are bad,” but do you know why? That’s because genetically engineered crops are a relatively recent invention with potentially harmful impacts on the ecosystem and on human and animal health. We still don’t know a lot about them and organic standards forbid the use of genetically engineered seeds or animals—including clones. We like science as much as anybody likes science, especially when it’s used to the benefit of all, and to the harm of none. We have yet to see a GMO that fits this description.
