About our Farm
Kinmana Organics have a passion and desire to produce the very best organic, free-range, soy-free chicken and Lamb that is Healthy for the Earth, and Healthy for You.
Meet our Chickens
Kinmana Organics is one of 5 Australian Approved Sommerlad Farmers selected to continue Heritage Poultry genetics for future generations. Our Sommerlad heritage-breed chickens are a “very special chicken”. They are old-fashioned, take longer to grow, have more care, more space, more texture, more taste!
We care about transparency, provenence, high welfare and food miles. Your chickens are certified organic on farm, Proof certified and grown right here at Marama in South Australia.
The chickens are hailed for their active foraging ability, well-proportioned bodies, strong legs and bones, and their ability to withstand heat. The taste? Because the chickens grow slower and live longer, the meat has a stronger flavour and better texture.
These birds are strong, resilient, and genetics chosen to survive in Australian conditions.
Meet our Sheep
Careful selection and on-farm breeding of dorper sheep ensures minimal intervention – they don’t need shearing, crutching and mulesing and are disease resistant. The Dorper breed have excellent lambing percentages, feed utilisation and conversion and thrive in our South Australian climatic conditions.
The dorper ewe is very protective of her young. There is no need for human intervention at lambing time, and she produces a large quantity of milk, helping in survival and early growth of the lamb. The Kinmana organic livestock are treated with natural and organic methods for animal health.

Nature is an excellent provider and we carefully select the right elements to ensure our sheep are naturally healthy.
Feed
We ensure our sheep are eating their natural diet of 100% grass. No grains at all. None! Here’s how we provide grass in warmer months sheep are ruminating animals (more than one stomach chamber) and can acquire serious health complications when fed grain. Grain overload in ruminants by avoiding grains we have healthier sheep.
Supplementation
Lambs receive a health tonic of organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother), organic garlic, organic MinKel (minerals & kelp) and cod liver oil. The tonic helps with parasites and overall wellbeing. As a result our sheep need very little human interference and live a stress free life.
